Emergency Medicine Physician Needed In NC - dates ASAP PT
Seeking an experienced board certified physician to provide locums coverage in their Emergency Department.
Providers must have practiced Emergency Medicine in the past 12 months.
New providers will need to come in the day before scheduled their start date for orientation.
Coverage Needed: Feb. 7, 8, 11, 25, 26, 28 are 11a-11p shift, March 1, 2, 3, 4, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 28 (7p-7a shifts), March 4, 5, 7, 14, 15, 28, 31 (7a-7p shifts), March 4, 8, 10, 18, 19, 20, 26 (11a-11p shifts to be filled after the 7a and 7p shifts)
Required certifications if NOT EM trained (no exceptions): ACLS, ATLS & PALS
Must have practiced Emergency Medicine in the last 12 months.
ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground Support to immediately transfer patients
EMR - EPIC
24-hour Hospitalist and Radiology coverage
Procedures required: Suturing, assessments, radiology, lab and CT interpretation, foreign body removal, limited ophthalmology, muscular skeletal, infectious processes
Specialties are: Cardiology, orthopedics, nephrology, general surgery, urology, infectious disease and psychiatry specialists are available locally.
Strokes, brain bleeds and acute MIs are routinely transferred out to tertiary care facilities by ED physicians.
